Well Being Yoga
I approach my yoga practice as a way to bring freedom to the body, freedom of movement and freedom from pain.
In my work I focus on small, tension and pain free movements. I use props like blocks, belts, chairs and the Mighty Body Band™ (www.yogabent.com).
The Mighty Body Band™ (MBB) is a great teaching tool for me and is being used in most of my classes:
as support. As you feel supported by the MBB™ in a pose, you can focus on listening to the subtle signals your body sends you. You can focus on what is happening in your body, what is not happening and what patterns are there that shouldn't be there.
as a feedback mechanism.
as a tool for strenthening and to increase flexibility.
to allow students to experience poses that are not available to them without the belt in a safe way.
